This story is just beautifully written. From the eyes of a little girl with Down syndrome we are encouraged to really see others and to be kind to them, to meet people where they are at, to dream, to be genuine, to focus on what we have in common and not be afraid of our differences, and to embrace who we are and who we were made to be. With a delightful rhythm and rhyme, this story is full of wisdom that can speak to everyone of all ages.

What a wonderful book! I can’t wait to read this to my babies and raise inclusive kids! The rhyming and illustrations are very cute. This would make a great classroom book for class meetings especially with the discussion questions included in the back!

One of my benchmarks for a good children’s book is which books do your kids pick from their bookshelf to read amongst all the other ones. Our 4 year old daughter has been picking this book out and “reading” it constantly since we got it. It’s even been on trips with us! It definitely passes that test! As a parent, the the story is well crafted, creative, and the rhyming hits really well. The illustrations capture our kids attention and it’s one of the reasons why our daughter likes to “read” the book to herself. I highly recommend this book and look for more from this author!
